We have received a small number of these little beauties!
Wonderful handmade bowls made from capiz shell. Believe it or not, these are made from leftover edible shells (popular in Indonesia)! The "mother of pearl" from the shells is scraped out and washed. These fine bowls are then cast from the mass and painted in different colours. They can be used for food (just wash by hand in lukewarm water and washing-up liquid) but we think they are just as nice as decoration!
